The family business began in 1949 when grandparents Desmond and Dorothy Creighton bought their first fishing licence. They paid 2 pounds which they borrowed off a neighbour as they couldn't afford it at the time. Narooma Seafood Direct is now a thriving locally owned and operated fishing enterprise running two licensed fishing boats; a long line boat and an inshore trailer boat. Each week NSD brings an assortment of freshly caught seafood to the market including Snapper, Flathead, Wrasse, Rock Cod and Sea Bream.
