Food shares are held every week a month in Moruya at different locations from October to May. You don’t have to be a backyard grower to come along, in fact, coming empty handed is encouraged! Food shares provide a space for the community to connect, share their backyard excess, and foster local food resilience. You’re welcome to drop off your produce if you can’t stay. You might gain variety and inspiration to your diet, backyard growing ideas, and you’ll be going green by lowering food miles and reducing plastic waste. And you’re likely to pick up food grown without chemicals- and that’s a win for your health!
Ideas of things to bring are: excess vegetable and fruit produce, eggs, seedlings/seeds, cookbooks and gardening books, tools, preserves, and plants.
