This week, Hannah Bath from Around the Corner Farm (at the SAGE Garden) demonstrated how to till the prepared bed using a tilther that is powered by a hand drill. Hannah explained that for this scale, this simple device is efficient and essential to getting the bed ready for planting. The bed was then covered with lucerne mulch, ready for the forecast rain and keeping the soil protected and weed free until we're ready to plant.

Sandra demonstrated how to chop fresh herbs and make a salsa verde. Perfect to eat with corn chips.

This weeks after school snacks included:
Baked pumpkin falafel with tahini and lemon sauce, topped with the freshly made salsa verde. The salsa verde was also used as a dip for the corn chips.
We also picked raspberries.
