As the days grow longer, the evenings warmer and the smell of spring fills the air, we’re getting ready for the SAGE Spring Equinox Feast— an evening of delicious local food, good company, cold beer and the wonderful community energy of SAGE.
This time of year is known as the hungry gap— that period when winter stores are running low and the abundance of the new growing season has yet to arrive. It’s a time that reminds us of the importance of local food, resilient food systems and the people who grow, make and share our food.
Our dedicated volunteers have been working behind the scenes to create a nourishing and joyful evening to bring us all together.
On the menu is a delicious selection of curries,curated with the local produce available at this time of year, served with freshly baked naan from our wood-fired oven. And what better way to enjoy a curry than with an ice-cold beer from Moruya’s own Quantum Brewery?
We’ll cater for dietary requirements as best we can, so please remember to let us know about yours when you book your ticket.
Our seasonal feasts are a chance to come together, reconnect with familiar faces, and enjoy a relaxed evening with friends and neighbours. And a good time to meet our new committee members.
And while you’re enjoying the food and company, your ticket is also helping support SAGE’s work — bringing people together around local food, supporting our growers and producers, and building a stronger, more food-secure community.
