Does saving money, eating delicious food, nourishing your body and reducing food wasteall at the same time sound appealing to you?
SAGE and Eurobodalla Shire Council are holding two workshops during Food Waste Action Week this March. You will learn the who, what, how and 1, 2, 3 of preserving food through fermentation and pickling, held at the SAGE Garden, Moruya.
Attend one or both workshops and begin turning your excess, leftover, mushy or bruised fruit and veg into delicious jars of fizz and flavour.
These workshops are aimed at beginners or those who are keen to experiment with different ways of preserving and are offered FREE* to attend.
Workshop 1: KimChi & Sauerkraut - Book our place
Saturday, 4 March 2023 | 9am - 12pm
Workshop 2: Pickling - Book your place
Saturday, 4 March 2023 | 1pm - 4pm
These hands-on workshops will include some theory, clear hand outs, tastings, and you also participate in the making them. AND, everyone takes home one jar of the goodies they've made.
We will provide
Both workshops include morning/afternoon tea and delicious tastings of some of the preserves that you will be making in the workshop.
You can donate
You are welcome to bring along your excess jars, garden harvest, wilting vegetables or soft fruits to donate in the stash.
